Pathways Programs

The Pathways Programs provide clear paths to internships and potential careers in the Federal government for students and recent graduates. It consists of the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program. DOD’s PMF Program is managed by DCPAS and includes the Pathways Internship Program and the Recent Graduates Program. Each agency (DOD is the “agency” for this purpose) using Pathways Programs must enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Office of Personnel Management every two years. Each DOD Component Headquarters Human Resources Office has a Pathways Programs Coordinator who may provide Component-specific assistance and information.

This self-paced training teaches new Pathways Programs Managers the fundamental basics of all three programs. This helps managers advise their organizations in successfully executing the requirements of the Pathways Programs to address workforce planning needs. Additionally, the “references” button within the training offers both OPM and DOD specific guidance on the Pathways Programs and is the primary source of content throughout this training.
